I picked up peer tutoring as an extracurricular activity during my junior year of high school, and immediately found a passion for it. I love being able to use what I know to help students who need it, and this has led me to continue tutoring for two years now. I’ve gathered hundreds of vetted tutoring hours, and with them a reputation for being approachable, patient, and easy to understand.
Outside of tutoring or grinding out schoolwork, I love running and playing soccer (I was on the championship-winning team this year!), challenging friends and family to chess and the New York Times daily puzzles, and listening to classical music and jazz. As an aspiring sustainable urban development specialist, I’ve led workshops on the dynamics of transportation engineering and green city planning, and conducted research on the progress of brownfield redevelopment in New York City, my hometown.
This fall I’m a first-generation college freshman at Dartmouth as an Engineering Sciences major. I’ll be standing on the hard-working shoulders of my supportive family, and hope I make them all proud.
